Around the house

We had a vision trip team come a couple of weeks ago and while they were here everyone except me and the kiddos went to Bouake to do some ministry up there and see some more of Cote d'Ivoire. It was an amazing trip from what I heard but we had a blast on the home front with everyone and thinking up things to do to occupy the long days with all three kids in the house. We were pretty creative and had a great time building things, getting messy, and reading books. Each day held a new adventure and although I was exhausted from being "on" all the time and thinking endlessly of new things to keep interest going Im so thankful for the time I get with each of the kids even if its just sitting on the floor rolling cars back and forth. I think it also really helps that I have incredibly cool kids :)
First day we played twister paint. We made a colored a board together and attached the spinner and then made a bunch of finger paint colored yellow, green, red, and blue and put them in globs on the floor on our back porch. It lasted about 3 turns and then the went wild sliding around and smearing the paint everywhere. Lots of giggles all around!!
So excited!
Left (or right for Elliot) hand blue
Keenan all twisted up

Then started the wrestling!!
Happy messy guys

Elliot's tye-dyed head
Then we built a giant fort and broke out the glow sticks and cars and played in there until it got too hot to stay under the blankets any longer

Next we put a bunch of baking soda on a plate and I colored some vinegar red yellow and blue and they had paint brushes to drip drops of vinegar onto the soda to watch it fizz.
Elliot go the idea to put the soda into the vinegar to see what happens then. More fizz!!
Super exciting
Then Keenan wanted to see what would happen when he poured out the vinegar onto his plate.
Of course, then they had to smear it around and see how it felt :). It was fun watching their minds come up with new things and to think through what would happen if.... oh, my little scientists. My dad would be so proud!

Our little girl

This little girl of ours has stolen all of our hearts and we are loving watching her personality develop, the smiles come out, and her first laugh last night!! It's hard to believe that it's only been two and a half months since we got to welcome her into our family but she has completed us and we adore her. Here are some pictures from the beginning to today:)
Going home from the hospital. Wow! Looking back she looks so so so different!!!!
