Happy Easter!!

I promise Im stopping with the updates for today after this one. Mostly because then I will be out of things to update on. :)  I just finally had time to sit and put up pictures so, here's a mother load of my silly little family!  Easter was pretty fun over here.  We got up early in the morning and made a feast of eggs & ham and cinnamon rolls and our team came over to celebrate the morning with us.  The kids got their Easter bowls with apple juice, toothpaste, candy, and little beach toys and were so happy with it all.  They were in need of toothpaste and since Im the mom I can decide what ever I want to put in their Easter bowls, so toothpaste it was!  I promise they were really really happy about it!  Then we were off to church where I was sweating like crazy with hot sweaty kids draped on my lap, then back home for naps and bbq preparation.  Everyone came over again for bbq feast late lunch.  Here is our day!

She LOVED the hunt!!

Found one!!

After all the eggs had been found

Sassy girl at church
My momma had asked for new pictures of the kids in their Easter outfits to update frames, so we had a little photo shoot after lunch :)

And even though she didn't ask for pictures of Craig and me, I know that she really did want them and just forgot to add that in the email. :)

Happy Happy Happy Easter, everyone!!!

Decorating eggs

Decorating Easter eggs has always been one of my favorite times to hang out with the family.  Every year as far back as I can remember I have dyed eggs with my family and I love it.  And the tradition carries on!  Even though we only have brown eggs here, that does not stop us one bit! :)  We brought out the paint, markers and glitter, grabbed our team, and set to work.  Here are some pictures of our decorating madness!

Craig

Bobby
With every color he put on the eggs, Elliot had to paint his hands as well...

The shirt had to come off!

Olivier
Then Craig, Bobby, Olivier, Keenan, & Elliot decided that painting eggs was not enough and they wanted to move on to their faces.... boys.

The finished products
Im was the one behind the camera again and so no pictures of me :) sorry!

Don't look away. Ever.

With my growing belly so I cant fold over very well to reach my feet and Keenan's love for painting, my sweet Keenan boy asked if he could paint my toe nails the other day.  He picked out the color and went to work.

So proud of his work and happy to be painting :)
I was watching him work, seeing his joy in being able to paint, and the sweet concentration on his little face and all of a sudden, I turned around and saw this:
Working hard...
Admiring her work

So pretty, right?!
She got tired after one foot, and Elliot offered to take over :)

Our finished tootsies :)

Her drying her fingers which were clear
Moral of the story is never ever leave nail polish out around a two year old diva without watching her every second.  Good thing our floors are all tile and it came off in a snap.

Kissing

I was playing with Elliot the other day pretending his foot was a phone and after I "hung up" I told him, "That was Mari! But your foot doesn't reach your ear anymore so you couldn't talk to her."
"Why did she call me?!"
"Well, I think it's because she likes you."
"I think it's because she wants to maaarrryy me!!  Ive already kissed her like 4 times."
"What?! On the lips or the cheek?"
"Just on the cheek."
"What does she do when you kiss her?"
"Weeelll, sometimes she says no, no.  But when she's napping, she doesn't do aaaannnnything!!!" (said with raising of his eyebrows and a sly little smile)
"You kiss her when she's sleeping?!" (said through lots of laughter)
"Yeeeeeeaaaaahh!" (again with the slyness and eyebrows)
Sometimes this love bug snuggly kid worries me... :)

singing diva

Lucy loves music.  When a song with a good beat comes on, she cant stop herself from swaying and twirling.  Recently she has started dramatically "singing" along with the music and using her arms to show the seriousness of the song.  She started using our tripod as a microphone stand so one day while we were home and some music was on I put the tripod in the middle of our living room and just waited.  And towards the end of the song, she noticed her stand, and did this:

Silly girl!  Love this little drama diva!!! :)
